Washburn University Students Ride Free with student ID

Topeka Metro has partnered with Washburn University to provide free bus rides on all our fixed route buses. Any Washburn University student with a valid ID can use it to ride the bus. Students must show their ID to the bus operator when boarding. 

Students can ride any time during Topeka Metro's hours of operation.  Hours of service are listed on Topeka Metro's website at www.topekametro.org. 

We have many ways to help students plan a bus ride. DoubleMap app is available to download on a mobile phone with Google Play or Apple apps. Topeka Metro also has DoubleMap on the home page of our website. Each of our bus stops is numbered, has a phone number that can be called or texted to find out when the bus is arriving. 

Students can also use the Moovit Trip Planner on our website at the bottom of the home page. Just type in current location and destination location. It's that easy!
