Seward & Chandler streets blocked due to Fiesta Topeka Event (7/15 - 7/19/25)

EFFECTIVE DATE: Tuesday, July 15 through Saturday, July 19, 2025

The detour will take place on the 3:15 p.m., 4:15 p.m, 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. runs only.

OUTBOUND: The outbound #1 Oakland will be on regular route to SE 6th Street & Madison, it will turn left (north) on Madison to Crane, it will turn right (east) on Crane to River Road, it will turn left (north) on River Road to Division, it will turn right (east) on Division to Freeman, it will turn right (south) on Freeman to Seward, it will turn left (east) on Seward. Back on route.   

INBOUND: The inbound #1 Oakland will be on regular route to Seward & Freeman, it will turn right (north) on Freeman to Division, it will turn left (west) on Division to River Road, it will turn left (west) on River Road (turns into Jefferson) to SE 6th Street, it will turn right (west) on SE 6th Street. Back on route. 

REASON: Seward & Chandler blocked due to the Fiesta Topeka Event.

Road & Bridge work on Branner bridge

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Monday, June 2, 2025

OUTBOUND:  The outbound #1 Oakland will be on regular route to SE 6th Street & Madison, it will turn left (north) on Madison to Crane, it will turn right (east) on Crane to River Road, it will turn left (north) on River Road to Chandler, it will turn right (south) on Chandler to Seward, it will turn left (east) on Seward. Back on route.   

INBOUND:  The inbound #1 Oakland will be on regular route to Seward & Chandler, it will turn right (north) on Chandler to River Road, it will turn left (west) on River Road (turns into Jefferson) to SE 6th Street, it will turn right (west) on SE 6th Street. Back on route. 

The following bus stops will be out-of-service: outbound Branner @ SE 4th Street, outbound Branner @ SE 3rd Street, outbound Seward @ Chandler, inbound Seward @ Chandler, inbound Branner @ SE 3rd Street and inbound Branner @ SE 6th Street. 

REASON:  Road and bridge work on the Branner bridge over railroad tracks.  

END DATE:  Work is expected to be completed September 15, 2025.
