Demolition of Polk/Quincy Bridge - IB 4th & KS stop & OB 5th & KS stop out-of-service

EFFECTIVE DATE: Monday, June 8, 2026  -  "REVISED"

OUTBOUND: The outbound North Kansas bus will be on regular route to 6th Street, it will turn East (right) on 6th Street to Jefferson, it will turn North (left) on Jefferson to 1st Street, it will turn West (left) on 1st Street to Kansas Ave, it will turn North (right) on Kansas. Back on route. 

INBOUND: The inbound North Kansas bus will be on regular route to 1st Street, it will turn East (left) on 1st Street to Jefferson, it will turn South (right) on Jefferson to 6th Street, it will turn West (right) on 6th Street to Monroe Street, it will turn South (left) on Monroe. Back on route.

The inbound 4th & Kansas stop will be out-of-service.

The outbound 5th & Kansas stop will be out-of-service.

The outbound 6th & Kansas stop will be out-of-service.

REASON: Demolition of Polk/Quincy Bridge.

Added traffic on Kansas Ave. due to the closure of the Topeka Blvd. Bridge

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Tuesday, September 16, 2025

OUTBOUND: The outbound #2 North Kansas will be on regular route to the Curtis Flyoff. It will continue straight on the Kansas Ave. bridge, bypassing the Topeka Rescue Mission on the outbound leg of the route. Back on route.

INBOUND: The inbound #2 North Kansas will once again service the Topeka Rescue Mission bus stop.

REASON: Added traffic on Kansas Ave. due to the closure of the Topeka Blvd. bridge.
